East View Companies is looking for an experienced and competent person Web developer and SEO analyst to support future developments of our growing suite of website properties. Working within the Marketing department, this position will also be responsible for developing website performance reports for all website properties using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console and Semrush. The Web Developer and SEO Analyst will implement and provide technology and performance recommendations for multiple websites built on a variety of platforms, as well as organic tactics for SEO improvements and consideration by the Marketing Director and the Chief Information Officer and their respective teams for planning or implementation with outside resources as needed.

As our online presence, lead generation and e-commerce capabilities become an increasingly important measure of the success of various East View companies, this position will play an important role in the future growth and success of the business. This position will require a solid understanding of content management technologies such as WordPress, experience with HTML and CSS coding, and a willingness to learn new platform technologies as needed. The ability to understand and implement SEO best practices and related marketing tactics and initiatives is a must.

the Web developer and SEO analyst will report to the Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Synthesize business needs and recommendations into actionable strategies for website development on a variety of platforms and manage the implementation of required tactics
  • Launch new concept website properties in coordination with Marketing and IT departments with the aim of testing and implementing long-term and scalable websites for various markets with a focus on e-commerce
  • Research options to improve website functionality with plugins, programming changes, and advancements in CX/UX
  • Lead and deliver website KPI reporting initiatives for website usage, traffic sources, trends, keywords, consumer behavior and SEO health from a technical perspective
  • Review, plan, propose and implement recommendations with the marketing team and other sources to improve organic SEO results
  • Stay up to date on organic search algorithm updates
  • Work closely with IT to ensure efficient transitions to new website technologies and minimize the risk of legacy SEO equity with search engines
  • Create monthly reports for multiple websites for management and custom reports on demand from sales, product management and marketing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or professional certificate, associate degree; or work equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience working with platforms such as WordPress and related plugins
  • Work experience and advanced understanding of HTML, JavaScript, CSS and PHP
  • Experience working with Semrush and proficiency with Google Analytics and Search Console
  • 2+ years of work experience in e-commerce (B2B/B2C) with experience in SEO or in a search-related role
  • Strong ability to research and understand new technologies or CMS platforms such as Volusion
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook software
